Hello class!

This week's lesson is here!

FIRST ACTIVITY

Below are nine phrasal verbs with their literal meaning. Read and understand them.

Drop off           I drop off my son to school in the  mornings at 8:45.

See through      I can see through the window now that it is clean.

Fall out             Be careful! You will fall out of the window.

Let down          The pilot let the plane down carefully in the strong wind.

Pick up             Pick up that chewing gum packet you dropped on the floor..

Step on             Quick! Step on that spider, kill it!

Drive away       Bank robbers always drive away in fast cars

Put out              Who puts the rubbish out in your house, your mum or dad?

Hold up             If you are a model, you have to hold your head up high when you walk

Now, open the first worksheet  below and look at the phrasal verbs.  Fill in the gaps with one of the words from the box at the bottom.

The phrasal verbs have a literal meaning and an idiomatic meaning (significado idiomático) like an expression.

SECOND ACTIVITY

Open the second worksheet and match the phrasal verbs with their idiomatic meaning.

I will post the answers in the WhatsApp group on Monday morning for activity one and two.

THIRD ACTIVITY
